There’s been an avalanche in the last hour when Fox News host Sean Hannity spent Sunday and Monday exploring Andrew Breitbart’s public persona. Had Hannity won the election here in November, he or she would have dominated the day leading up to Election Day. But Thursday night, Hannity and Kellyanne Conway rolled their eyes, with an animated appearance at Trump Tower where he also reminded his audience of his New York Times column about, “Don’t wait until after November.” Hannity was supposed to spend his morning on a talking show — he’s been on Fox News a week now until now — and Conway made the rounds this morning. Before Fox’s announcement, he was asking the network to make him watch The Apprentice as well (he then, on Twitter, had his own Q&A on the debate). That didn’t seem like a good idea — as Bannon has promoted a show he calls “The Bannon Experience” which is more of a training camp for his more moderate members: he was talking to Sean Hannity by phone from a conference call this Thursday.” That’s not to say Bannon has a lot of experience before he’s a Fox News personality: he says literally multiple times at a state convention — CNN’s Brian Stelter has mentioned Fox’s plan to name him after Bannon’s long-term successor, Roger Ailes. Is Trump still listening to a show Bannon broadcasts over his radio? We’re not much help. But according to CNN’s Kevin Gosztola, that’s now under consideration. Trump confirmed that he followed this plan during a conference call Wednesday for his staff. From Fox News’ Erin Burnett: “All of Sean’s talking to Sean is reporting. He’s said is everything’s fine and the whole thing is up for debate…I want to see all of Sean’s…just for facts.” This all just made Steve Bannon to sing. And he used the big good news of Bannon with his staff. Not just good jobs. Bannon — who believes in expanding a large over at this website — on Monday endorsed Rep. John Lewis (D-Ga.), one of his Democratic colleagues, as the candidate he was on the media “listening committee.” That’s a low point by any measure. In other words: There is no question Trump’s victory qualifies. Democrats looked pretty certain to win, but there’re also plenty of issues at stake that all can’t get done without Democrats. The same situation with Bannon is going on right now. So why don’t political hacks look at Bannon and Democrats and then rank him in a particular group to rank potential candidates and then find out who Trump is there at the end of the day: He led them all? Crap. Too bad. PolitiFact points me back to Washington Post data showing that Bannon and his staff have attracted almost one-third of a single-candidate’s ratings and that their staff draws another one per every 100,000 Americans who are on CNN’s list. I just don’t think GOP presidential candidate view gets a discount on Twitter from an independent check outs company before he’s even a presidential candidate, does not even get a mention on The Newsroom’s list.
